Puff Flower
You can use any yarn with a hook the right size for the yarn. You can also use 2 or 3 strands of a yarn, or different colored yarns, and a large hook to get a big flower. They look great with a little one layered over a big one too.
puff stitch= *yo, insert hook into stitch (or loop in this case) yo, pull up* repeat 4 times in same stitch/loop, yo, pull through all 9 loops on hook, yo, pull through loop
loop= magic loop or amigurumi loop. You can find a tutorial for "magic loop" on youtube which is my preference. If you really can't get it you can ch 2 then work these stitches in the first ch.
In a loop, *ch 2, puff stitch, ch 2, sl st back into loop* repeat 5 times, tighten the loop, finish off
And there you have it, my shortest pattern ever!

Thank you! This was fast and adorable. I just put one on a little hat I made for a newborn that is expected to be a preemie. So precious!
ReplyDeleteWould you be willing to let me use your pattern to embellish items that I sell, if I give you credit? If not, no biggie. :) Just thought I'd ask.
